Task: The student is required to prepare a clinical audit proposal related to an area of interest to them. The student will be expected to compile this proposal in a manner which could be presented to their local healthcare facility for consideration.
Further, the student must demonstrate:

The use of appropriate clinical audit proposal format.
A broad literature search to support the clinical audit which is relevant and appropriate.
Analytical review and synthesis of the literature including appropriate standards to create a sound argument and justification for the audit.

Presentation: Appropriate format for a clinical audit proposal (please use appropriate headings)
Assessment criteria: There are both general & specific assessment criteria.
TheGeneralcriteria are based on a grading matrix available under assessment information for the student’s specific specialty. This grading matrix will assess your assessment response by allocating 90% of your overall mark to the content (e.g. comprehension of main concepts/definitions, use of appropriate literature, insight into your professional role), & 10% of the overall mark will be allocated to legibility, referencing, spelling and grammar.

There is much information on audit from this site, including the Criteria and indicators of best practice in clinical audit which will be accessed via the following link. This may give you an idea of what is required in PLANNING for an audit but does not involve DOING the audit.
