Milrinone is a medication that is used to treatment patient with CHF. It is an expensive medication There is an ethical debate about the use in patient who are already in hospice care; (1) is it worth spending tax payers money(medicare) on expensive medication for pt(hospice) who have prognosis of less than 6 months (2)is it okay to deny patient(hospice pt) care they need because of money.
