Online learning is one of the fastest growing trends in higher education. There is evidence that students perform as well, or even better online than in the traditional classroom, and several current studies reveal no significant difference between face-to-face and online learning outcomes. However, other research indicates online study might work for some students, but it may not work for others and also that face-to-face learning may not be suitable for everyone.

Identify and discuss the benefits and issues connected to both online learning and face-to-face learning in higher education. Support your discussion with evidence and examples.
